Expert tutor
Mark G. Byrne is a Doctoral Candidate at Queen’s University Belfast with a life-long interest in film-making. He studied film as part of his first degree and has undertaken film-making training with NI Screen, Channel 4, QUB and the National Film and Television School. Mark recently worked as a Trainee Assistant Director on HBO’s Game of Thrones, Season 7. He is currently filming a feature-length historical documentary telling the story of Newry Cathedral.
Recent client social media videos
We filmed this short cinematic clip for the Irish Bishops’ Response to Drugs and Alcohol (IBDI). The film features young people from Newry Cathedral Parish participating in a youth programme. The video will be played to an expected audience of half a million people on big screens before the Papal Mass at Phoenix Park, Dublin on Saturday 26th August 2018. The film will also be shown during the IBDI workshop at the World Meeting of Families congress as Dublin’s RDS.
We made this cinematic film, providing coverage the homily of Father Colum Murphy at Newry Cathedral Parish’s annual Mass Rock celebration at Ballyholland Mass rock.
